Lauren began her new job as Forecast and Replenishment Analyst for Speedway this past April, and we are pleased to share her story, and words of wisdom.

| Please describe your role, including your day-to-day activities. | I forecast and replenish products for Speedway gas stations. My responsibilities include running daily reports for time supply and out of stocks, and communicating with vendors in regards to purchase orders being missed. |
| How did you learn about this job opportunity? | I knew someone who works at the company, and connected with them. |
| What do you like best about your job so far? | I love that my supervisor is positive and wants me to do well. I also appreciate the set schedule, and benefits. I also have the opportunity to learn new databases and computer programs. |
| How did career coaching with Crosworks help youin your job search? | With Crosworks’ guidance, I was able to narrow down what I wanted to do and the type of job I was looking for. I learned how I can take my previous job experience and apply it to a new role. I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses, which came in handy during the interview process. |
| What did you do to stay positive and motivated as you searched for a job? | I reached out to everyone I could think of to see if they personally knew or knew of someone who would be hiring in the field I was looking into. |
| What advice do you have for others who are in the job market? | I took any interviews I could get so I was able to get the practice in. Even when it feels like things aren’t happening, you can’t give up. |
| What was your favorite aspect of your experience with Crosworks? Why? | The support from my Career Coach was the best! I finally had someone believe in me, and I realized that I deserve the best when it comes to a career. I was able to get into the right mindset, which is essential. She also guided me when it came to offers and negotiations. |
