Local Business Leader Acquires Crosworks Career Consultancy
COLUMBUS, OH, OCTOBER 13, 2016 – Crosworks, a Columbus-based career consultancy that has served area individuals and businesses for 35 years, is pleased to announce a new owner. The company recently was acquired by executive Shelly Stotzer of Worthington.
“I’m thrilled to be leading the talented team at Crosworks,” Stotzer said. “My work here is a natural progression of the coaching I have been doing with my teams and colleagues throughout my career.” After working with Crosworks in her own career transition several years ago, she said, “I came to believe so firmly in the company and its processes that I wanted to engage in a more meaningful way. Crosworks has had tremendous success in helping individual clients find their ‘right’ job, and in supporting organizations big and small as they build teams, develop leaders, improve productivity, and yield tangible results. I’m looking forward to extending our reach and taking Crosworks to the next level.”
Celia Crossley, who has lead the company since founding it in 1981, said, “I’m so pleased to be working with our new owner. Shelly’s innate talent management and leadership skills are major assets for Crosworks. Throughout her career, Shelly has put the highest priority in guiding her employees into jobs where they could best succeed and find the greatest satisfaction. Now, Shelly is focused on coaching new clients here, and on Crosworks’ strategic growth. It’s an exciting time, both for the company and for me, as I will continue to work alongside Shelly.”
Prior to acquiring Crossworks, Stotzer launched and lead the residential solar division at IGS. Earlier, she ran a consulting practice, where she provided strategic business planning, executive leadership coaching, and operations analysis to a wide range of companies. Stotzer began her executive career with Highlights for Children, where most recently she served as chief operating officer and chief marketing officer. She currently serves on the governance board of the Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana region, and a former board member of the Worthington Resource Pantry.
