This summer, Crosworks is thrilled that recent Thomas Worthington High School graduate Cambria Stotzer is interning with us. She has been a huge asset to the team.
“Cambria is smart, driven, and incredibly responsible. She is always willing to jump in and complete any task given to her, and she does it all in such an efficient manner. To top it off — Cambria is a joy to be around!” says Beth Smith, Client & Office Operations Manager at Crosworks.
In her own words, Cambria describes her experience:
What made Crosworks the right choice for you for a summer internship?
I am able to get hands-on business experience in a convenient and flexible environment. Beth, the client and office operations manager, has been a great person to work for and I have had a great time experiencing the various management styles in the office. Working at Crosworks gives me the opportunity to learn about myself in a professional setting.
What kind of work are you doing at Crosworks? Is it rewarding?
I am supporting the office manager and all related duties in order to keep the office running smoothly and exceed client expectations. From filing and setting up inquiry appointments to organizing finances, I do anything the office needs. It’s great to have clear tasks and tangible deliverables every day I come into the office.
How does your internship at Crosworks fit into your future plans?
It gives me an opportunity to investigate future career paths. I get to learn about the Birkman Method™ and the job search process, giving me a head start when I am looking for a co-op in the next couple of years. It also improves my skills that are necessary in the workforce, including organizational skills, work ethic and knowledge of office procedures.
Tell us about your long-term plans.
This fall, I will be an undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in bioengineering. From there, I hope to work in neurotechnology, possibly making neuro-devices for individual patients.
